Stuart is an accredited mediator for family matters by the Family Mediation Council and for Workplace, Civil, and Commercial mediation by the Civil Mediation Council. He is a member of Resolution and the Society of Mediators. He is also a Professional Practice Consultant (PPC) and a Legal Aid internal supervisor. He delivers training for mediators on a wide range of topics. He was previously a family magistrate in Leeds. Stuart works as a mediator both in the UK and internationally. Recognised with a National Mediation Award in 2018 and 2024, Stuart has held leadership roles, including on the board of The College of Mediators and currently on Resolution’s national committee for Legal Aid and Family Mediation. In 2024, he was awarded a Fellowship from the Society of Mediators.
